Program Description
The youth Olympic Weightlifting program is designed for local youths and teens, both male and female, to learn and participate in the sport of weightlifting.
The sport of Olympic Weightlifting is contested along gender, age, and weight classes. This allows for anyone, of any age, and experience to participate.
The program is designed and instructed by middle school teacher and USA Olympic Weightlifting Level One Coach Doug Schultz
Program design and instruction can be utilized as a stand-alone program or in conjunction with an athlete’s other athletic training regimen.
Technique Before Load
Our focus is on mechanics and movement efficiency. Youth lifters learn the fundamentals of Olympic lifts with PVC and light weights before progressing
Strength & Mobility Development
Through targeted training, athletes build explosive power, balance, coordination, and joint mobility—all essential traits for sports performance and injury prevention
Age-Appropriate Progression
We coach based on readiness, not age. Each athlete progresses at their own pace with safety and positive reinforcement at the forefront
Competition Opportunities Available
For youth interested in the sport, we offer support for local meets and USA Weightlifting events, giving young lifters a chance to shine
